Usability Lab Grand Opening Week at Kent State University (Starting Monday, April 17th)

Friends of The Web Association may be interested in the grand opening of the SLIS Usability Lab at Kent State University. On Monday, April 17, the Information Architecture and Knowledge Management program (IAKM) and the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) will kick off a week long event marking the opening of the SLIS Usability Lab. A usability panel discussion open to the public will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in Room 332 of the University Library, near the Lab, also open for tour. Usability professionals will be presenting and discussing usability issues currently impacting the field. The panelists include Monica Fry of Intuit, Jeff Janis of Progressive Insurance, and Jeff Pearl of eMergent Marketing. Interested persons should RSVP to iakminfo@kent.edu by Wednesday, April 12. The opening of the Usability Lab marks another milestone in the success of the interdisciplinary Master of Science Program in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management at Kent State University, now in its fourth year.
