New Luncheon Rate For Area College Students
05/24/2006
The Web Association has announced that effective immediately, all college students able to produce a valid College ID will be able to purchase tickets to association luncheons at the reduced price of $17.50 (regular price - $25). The first event for which this new price is valid will be Wednesday, June 21st, when The Web Association will be presenting "Online Recruiting: How The Internet Has Impacted Job Searching". To receive the discounted rate, students must indicate their student status during the event pre-registration process. When checking in at the door, they will simply need to produce a valid college identification card from any college or university. "As part of our mission to serve the Northeast Ohio Internet community, we also want to help educate college students on trends in the technology marketplace", said Web Association President Jon Eggleton. "We want to not only showcase the opportunities available right here in the region, but also help students understand what skill sets are in demand to assist them in securing jobs after graduation." The June 21st Luncheon will be held at Windows on the River in The Flats (Powerhouse), and will begin at 11:30AM. Luncheon sponsored by CareerBoard.com and The Creative Group.
